Dungeon Short

Hello There.
This will probably be continued, but it will be slow. Just Saying.
Now, without further ado:

The stars are alive. The mortals would never know; no, they could never know. They had existences that crossed the planes of existences. They crossed universes, blinking in and out of existence. Truly, it was impossible for measly mortals to understand: Although Stars were also mortal, their lives were much, much greater than what is commonly accepted for mortals. And, similar to all other living beings, the stars had offspring. The children of the stars, would go on to create entire worlds of their own. They were called by many different names: Planets, Planes, Gods, Dimensions, even Universes, but, in this Multiverse, one of the original, where immortals roamed free, where only the most powerful would be allowed. In this Multiverse, the Reian Superverse, newly born children of the stars were known as dungeons. And that is from where the name of ‘dungeon’ has spread from. That, is why, nowadays, even in one of the youngest of the multiverse, a different universe, a weaker one, with much less energy, the newborn child of the stars, was called a dungeon.

Truly a sight to behold. The scene before them could be described as such. The younglings had no idea what was happening before them. They couldn’t comprehend it. It was as simple as that. These younglings were a mismatched group. There was no ‘pattern’ to them. The four of them all came from different races, There were both males and females; two of each, to be exact. But that didn’t matter much to them. They were those spoken about in tales of old. Many names had been given to these types of people: Explorers, Adventurers, Pioneers, Heroes, Daredevils, and even just ‘The Brave’. These four brave souls were seeking adventure, exploring the world around them. And these brave souls had finally found the most thrilling of adventures; the most challenging; the best, and one to be spoken about for years to be followed.
In this young universe, with stars being born here and there, a new dungeon had just been born, and the four adventurers were truly lucky, to be the ones to see the birth of a new dungeon. They had already decided to explore the insides, dreaming of the treasures and adventures that they would discover inside. What would await them? To them, only time would tell.
The four made sure to check their surroundings, making sure they were the only ones here: they wouldn’t want others to come in after them and take their spoils. After confirming that they were the only life around, the four entered cautiously. They were quiet for the entire process; allowing the silence to rule the air around them. It was an eerie silence, neither the chirping of the birds or the calls of the insects could be heard. But the adventurers didn’t mind. They had heard of the silence around the dungeons from senior adventurers. The occasional adventurer who was able to find a dungeon, and survive the entire journey to come back and tell of their tale to their juniors. These adventurers knew more than the average, as they were members of a guild, the Wandering Rain, and they were privy to extra information that their guild, the Wandering Rain, kept to themselves. Therefore, they were prepared for the silence; they knew to check their surroundings; they knew to not light torches inside; they knew to keep mind of their surroundings at all times; they knew to mind the others; and they knew to keep clear of each other's’ way.
They were cautious as they entered the newborn dungeon. They had their weapons drawn as they slowly crept into the first room in the dungeon. The interior of the dungeon appeared exactly like a cave. Inside the cave, the adventurers came to face with a single goblin: a creature with a figure just like a human child with green skin. The four were a bit surprised, but they quickly regained their calm. They knew that it was a young dungeon, but they hadn’t really expected that a ‘dungeon’ would really be so empty. Quickly taking up their positions against the goblins, they decided to quickly deal with the goblin, and return to report the newborn dungeon to their guild so that they can monopolize it.
One of the four, a cat-eared man, swung his sword at the goblin, aiming to decapitate it. His sword went through the neck of the goblin without any resistance. The other three seemed to be clearly relieved at this. One of the three, a female thief, took out a dagger, went up to the goblin, and cut off the tip of its ear. They had to bring something back to prove that they had killed one, and for goblins, the tip of its ears were the best part.
“Is that it?” the cat-eared man asked.
“Seems so,” One of the four, someone in a robe, answered, only to continue, “We should get going, we have to report this to the guild before anyone else discovers it.”
“Okay, let’s get going.” The thief said, sheathing her dagger while getting up, leaving the goblin corpse lying on the ground.
“Should we just leave it like that?” the cat-eared man questioned the thief.
“It should be fine, the dungeon doesn’t seem to have anything yet, we’ve gotta let it grow for now, right?”
“That’s true, we should be letting it grow… for now.” The robed figure once again spoke up.
“Well, if ya say so…” The cat-eared man seemed to have given up.
“Let’s leave!” the last of the four, who had stayed silent up till now, suddenly spoke up.
“‘Kay! Let’s leave!” the thief said energetically.
“Yeah, yeah, let’s just leave already.” The cat-eared man seemed to have already given up resistance against the energetic duo.
The robed man stayed quiet, but still followed the others.
Just like that, the four left the dungeon, to report its existence to their guild. Now, what would’ve happened had they destroyed the dungeon core? Well, we’ll never know, and it’s no use speculating. So, just like that, the newborn dungeon continued its life.
