Path to Divinity 4

Edit 1 (4/27/15) : Sorry for the lateness, but this was a huge and technical chapter, changed around some of the race names, and made "Inverns" as well as " Inver" into "Invern"

I was wrong. It’s been four months since I started learning the language, and I finally learned how to read and write, as well as speak. What was I wrong about, you ask? Well, I was wrong about just about everything. Although this place has magic, and demons, and even gods as well. But. BUT. There aren’t any humans in this world. There are similar beings, but not a single thing called human, or mankind, or homos sapiens or anything of the sort.

The closest race to humans (according to my knowledge) were the Tor race, they were completely humans, except the fact that every one of them have skin that is as hard as metal, yet completely flexible, as well as steel-like bones. I’m getting all this information from books, so I can’t be sure about any of this information, but our maid is one of the Tor race, and other than having skin the strength of metal, she could be called a human.

The other so-called “similar beings”, some of which could be called human, but  each race has tails, or claws, or even scales and the like. Even I wasn’t a human being in this life. I was actually a proud member of the Invern race, as well as being quarter Cratic.
Invern is one of the races who are close to humans in bodily composition and looks (in my mind), but they have, or should I say we have, superior bodies, intellect, and just our basic ability in general is much better than a human. We are one of the top thirteen races after all. Although just  having improved bodies and intellects wouldn’t be enough to call the Invern a completely different race, or get us even close to the top ten , but our inborn special ability is enough to qualify us: all Invern are born with the ability to morph into something else, called the spirit form. If that isn’t enough, there’s also the fact that every Invern has white hair, and we gain the ability to grow wings at the age of 10. It really makes me wonder what kind of world this is, with all these different outrageous races. Although the Invern are a considerably rare race, with a total known population of just this town, with a total population of about 500, although there might be a few more here are and there. The Cratic, on the other hand, are an even rarer race, known to be extinct, or near-extinction with no more known living purebred Cratic, but there are a few halves and quarters who can still proudly call themselves Cratic. Cratics are a nigh-legendary race, known to have many abilities, of which not many are actually known by the world. Their basic abilities are much better than even an Invern, and a 4 year-old purebred Cratic could beat most well trained Tor soldiers, not to mention the lifespan of a half is near 1200 years. As if that wasn’t enough, they still only rank fourth on the top ten races.. Almost nothing is known about the Cratic, but I guess if I wanted to know, I could always ask my parents when I grow up a bit more, seeing as they are part Cratic.

I just realized the fact that I had never mentioned the names of those living in our household. My loving parents are Kaitlyn Inver Reilland, and Ander Cray Reilland. They are both wonderful parents. Our maid’s name is Tay Rayn. We live within the borders of Welt Kingdom, on the Er Continent, but we don’t live under the Welt Kingdom, we are our own small clan, the Invern clan, the only known clan of Invern in this world. In truth, we are our own independent country, but because we don’t have enough population, we aren’t considered as such and just live in a small village on the outskirts of the Welt Kingdom, considered by most as either a vassal or a village of the Welt Kingdom.

Path to Divinity 3

Edit 1 (4/25/15) : Small Edits and Changes

Two weeks have passed since the day I realized that I was inside of a baby’s body. During the past two weeks, many things have occurred, and I had finally learned my full name just yesterday. It was quite hard to learn this piece of knowledge which you would think obvious to know, but because of my jolly, easy going parents who would never call me by my full name, and would rather call me by my pet name “Arty” instead, that led to me not knowing my name until two weeks after my birth. The one who bestowed this piece of knowledge upon me was the maid of our house, who told me, when trying to talk with me about myself, which she liked doing, for some odd reason. Although she seemed to have stopped recently. What’s my name, you ask? Well, let me enlighten you. It’s Arthur Inver Cray Reilland. Isn’t it such a fancy name?

Another thing I learnt about in the past two weeks was that I was born in a small village called Inveron, on the outskirts of the Welt Kingdom, which was located on the northwestern side of the Er Continent. Inveron was just a small village, with a population of about 200 people, but I had never heard of the Welt Kingdom or the Er Continent before, so I finally came to the conclusion that I was actually in another world, seeing as there’s no way I wouldn’t have known about there being a continent that I didn’t know of in the previous world, seeing how it was filled up with less than ten. This discovery of mine got me thinking: What if there were fantastical things such as magic, demons, and gods, as well as many other cool things that I had only ever read about in books, or never even had the knowledge about. I set my heart down to immediately go on a small quest in the pursuit of knowledge (In other words, a trip to my father’s study)...

||

It’s been a few weeks since I started my pursuit of knowledge. I quickly found the location of the study within the house.. Impatiently,  I opened up one of the books, almost entranced by the knowledge that was piled in front of me, and when I flipped to the first page, I was in for a huge surprise. The book was all in another language, a language that I had never seen before. I was surprised because I could understand the spoken language, but I couldn’t understand the written form of it. I was disappointed for a  short moment because I couldn’t quench my thirst for knowledge, but I quickly revitalized myself and pumped myself up to start learning this completely alien language. Nothing in the world could get me down now.

Path of Divinity 2

Edit 1 (4/25/15): Changed Some Stuff (To be honest, has some added content)

I slowly stirred a few moments after the bright sunlight shone upon my face. More like, blinded me by shooting it’s rays into my eyes.

Path to Divinity 1

Edit 1 (04/23/15) : Changed some stuff

It was a gloomy summer evening here in the city of Amber, an educational city with a population mostly made of students. I was walking along the long and windy paths of this relaxing city with the occasional noise here and there while being shined upon by the beautiful, yet ominous, full moon. It was hushed at the time, but even now, when looking back at it, I still wonder what the problem at that time was. There were many things that could have led to what happened, but maybe it was because I wasn’t careful enough, or maybe it was because I took a wrong turn, but anyways, I was walking around town, touring around, while moving back towards my home, when I strolled into a part of the town that seemed a bit too ominous for my own liking. Walking here, it seemed as if the moon had turned red; I don’t know what made me continue down this path, but it was probably just a mere whim. I had heard in the local news, the rumours in class, and even the teachers, that there was a serial killer in this area of the town, but by the time I remembered this, it was already too late. I might have just not cared, because it didn’t matter much to me anyways, my ignorant life and I.
