Blinking awake, I rose up to find myself in an unfamiliar environment. Rising up off of the wooden bed I was sleeping on, I looked around cautiously. Observing my surroundings, I found I was inside of what seemed to be a log cabin. The furniture inside was placed in a nice and tidy manner, but there was no specific design behind the placement, and you couldn’t feel any thought to it: it was just neat and tidy, nothing else.
Seeing this room, I couldn’t help but feel a bit weird: I was sure that I was finished, but I ended up surviving, and finding myself in this cabin. Feeling curious as to who owned the small log cabin I was in, I decided to raise myself up of the wooden bed, and tried to get up onto my feet, only to find myself feeling a wave of weakness washing over me, causing me to uncontrollably fall back down onto the wooden bed. Finding that I was incredibly weak, I decided to just hope that I was in good hands and wait for whoever brought me here.

I was startled awake by a creaking noise, and I immediately got up because I heard someone come in. Looking at the person who came in, I saw that it was a he, who had short hair, with a white colour as pure as the blanket of snow that would cover most of the countries of the alliance during the cold winters it faces.
“Are you okay?”
Being asked that question, I felt something inside me changed. I had never been cared about by anyone in the courts, so I felt happy, elated even. But, before waiting for me to respond, he continued speaking.
“You were in a dangerous situation before. You just collapsed in the forest near here. If I didn’t find you, you would’ve been teared apart by monsters by now. Well, don’t worry about what didn’t happen, and just relax for now.”
While saying so, he took something out from a bag behind him and put it in front of me. I took a look at what he had placed in front of me and realized that it was some dried meat. I looked over to where he was standing before only to find that he was now sitting down beside me. Looking back at the food, I realized just how hungry and worn out I was. I realized that I was not in the state that I was in before, I was tired, worn out, and wanted to just settle down. The person besides me seemed to be a noble, from the way he acted and spoke. His grammar was proper, and his actions were refined. Even the furniture in this cabin weren’t in states of which commoners in the alliance would own. Taking all this in, I decided to do an all or nothing, and I steeled myself to ask a simple question, as I was a servant at heart.
“Could I work as a servant for your house?”
And believe it or not, I was responded to with a yes.
