Hello, this is HCHH with a new chapter of Path to Divinity! (clap clap clap ;( ) Anyways, this chapter is about the main character's maid. To those of you who want to know what happened to the MC after that, please continue to read!
My name is Tay Rayn, I work as a maid for a family of Invern in Inveron, the Inver village. Now, you might be wondering how I, a mere Tor, ended up as a maid in the middle of a secluded village of a rare race. Well, to explain this would take a long time, and I decided to write down this story. Although I must say that things like what happened to me are quite common, just not many of those who go through what I did stay alive in the end.

I, Tay Rayn, used to be an Covert Ops Maid in the Rinth Imperial Court. Rinth, being a kingdom that was part of the Welt Alliance couldn’t be said to be too powerful, but there were still many power struggles within its small borders, and I was wrapped up in one of these, causing me to be forced to flee the country.
The job I had was actually quite hard for people to obtain. I was only able to obtain this job because of two main things. The first was the fact that I was completely loyal to the king at the time, and the other was the fact that I was an High-Class swordswoman. Not just anybody can become a High-Class sword-user, seeing as it requires long years of training along with at least a certain amount of talent. The job I had was nice, and there weren’t many downsides, if you took away having to be in the vicinity of some disgusting nobles. To me, who was completely loyal to the king, I could hold in my disgust, even if they were flat-out stripping me down with their eyes.
One day, this all changed, as I was given a mission by the king: to assassinate an influential noble. This wouldn’t have been enough to make me leave though, as I was already prepared, being hired as a Covert Ops Maid for a reason. The reason my loyalty snapped was because of the fact that after having finished my task, and given payment, I was chased down. These weren’t just any pursuiters either, they were the Royal Pursuition Force, made up of High-Class Scouts and Sword-users. I was hunted because I “knew too much”. This completely broke any lingering attachments I had to this kingdom, especially after being shown the disgusting side of the politics within the kingdom. Deciding to flee for my life, I fled the kingdom into the neighbouring dukedom, Rhine. While I was in Rhine, though, I was still under pursuit from the Royal Pursuition Force. Going from one country to the next, I was officially on the run. After months of living on the run wearing down on my soul and body, I entered into a small forest, and, unable to handle it anymore, I crumbled down within the woods, unable to take even one more step.
