Slimes vs. Horned Rabbits Part 1

Hello, as stated before, I am now writing short stories. I will continue those that I want, and maybe those that I feel I have inspiration in. Other than that, if any one of the y'all like any of the short stories, just comment, and I'll try hard in continuing it.

Please don't expect many posts every day, but there will be at least one post a week (I hope) Now, if only there were actually people who commented... This short story is a inspired by Re:Monster, and a couple of other stories. This is by no means a copy. Well, enough of that, here's the short story:

The group of Slimes bounced around. One could hear the jiggle of the bodies, and the vibrations being sent through the ground by the large amount of Slimes bouncing around. There were a plethora of different sizes, and a multitude of colours and shapes. They were all gathered for one purpose.
Today was the day. It was time.
The Slimes would gather at this time every so often. They all knew what they were gathering for. Even the new Slimes knew, as they were all connected to the same network. That was how they all knew when to gather, even without something such as a sense of time.
They were all excited, jumping and bouncing. Some Slimes were squashed by other larger ones, but it was all fine: they could reform again. The ones that had gathered hadn’t moved from there spot yet. They all seemed to be waiting for those that had not arrived. After waiting for a while, the Slimes seemed to have prepared themselves.
GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
They all started moving at the same time. They were completely synchronized. They pushed forwards through the forest, completely ignoring the obstructions, and absorbing and digesting any organisms unlucky enough to be under them when they landed for their next leap.
They all seemed to have a clear purpose. They knew where they were going, how they were going to get there. They even knew what they were about to do. They were all prepared. They had been ready to do this from the day that they had split from their predecessors. They were prepared to go and rejoin the Origin Slimes. They knew. Some of them wouldn’t be able to get out of this intact. But they were ready. They wouldn’t turn back now.
Finally, they had reached their destination. The first Slimes had jumped out into a clearing, and in front of them was the prey for this time.
This was a hunting trip. They all knew that this was going to be a vicious battle. They were fighting against a colony of Horned Rabbits, who had a fundamental disadvantage against them, but they, as Slimes, weren’t that strong in general. The basic slime was very weak, but that didn’t mean that the Slimes would lose in this battle. They had many things going their way in this battle. There weren’t only basic Slimes in this group. There were Acid Slimes, Armoured Slimes, Battle Slimes, Rock Slimes, Poison Slimes, Horned Slimes, and even a Medicine Slime. Also, they were at an advantage against horned rabbits, who could only attack physically, and only had a piercing weapon, as the Slimes wouldn’t be hurt unless you could hit their nucleus, or damage the spirit. They were the closest to incorporeal that a physical being could be.

And so they jumped, charged, bounced; however you would describe the masses of slimes towards the colony of Horned Rabbits. It was a full fledged invasion.
